Send Log
The Send Log tracks all send attempts, whether successful or failed.
Viewing the Send Log
- Click Send log in the header (separate from the Manage menu)
- View the list of send attempts grouped by message ID
When recent failures exist, the Send log button shows a failure badge. You can also open a filtered Send log from gallery case Sent chips or from message ID links elsewhere in the app.
Send Log Information
Each grouped row shows:
- Destination — Where the send was directed
- Status — Success, failed, queued, scheduled, or in progress
- Date/time — When the send was attempted
- Cases/pictures — What was sent
- Sent by — User who initiated the send
- Trigger source — How the send was started (gallery, mobile, etc.)
- Error details — Error messages for failed sends
The page polls for updates while open so in-progress sends refresh automatically.
Filtering and Searching
Use the filter panel to find specific sends:
- Status — Filter by success, failed, or other states
- Destination — Filter by destination name
- Date range — Filter by send date
- Container, terminal, case date — Narrow to specific cases
- Sent by, trigger source, message ID — Additional filters
Click Search, Reload, or Clear in the action bar.
Retrying Failed Sends
For failed sends:
- Use Select for retry on failed rows, or select individual rows
- Click Retry selected
- The system queues another send attempt
You can also retry a single row from its action column.
Tip: Before retrying, check the error message to understand why the send failed. You may need to contact your administrator if the issue persists.
Cancelling Unfinished Sends
Rows stuck in Queued, Scheduled, Pending, or Processing can be bulk-cancelled so they no longer look like unfinished work:
- Use Select for Cancel in the action bar
- Select individual unfinished rows, or Select All Unfinished
- Click Cancel Selected and confirm
Cancelled rows get the Cancelled status and the queued work is not delivered. A send that finishes before the cancel takes effect keeps its final status (Sent or Failed) and is skipped.
Exporting Send Log
Export from the action bar:
- Export CSV
- Export XLSX
Before export is enabled, set both case date start and case date end in the filters. Until a complete date range is set, the export buttons stay disabled and explain why (tooltip / assistive text).
Other filters (terminal, status, destination, container, and so on) refine what is exported but are optional once dates are set.
When you click Export:
- The download starts immediately (no confirmation dialog for a normal dated export).
- A short notice explains that the file includes all messages matching your current filters, not only the rows already loaded in the table.
- Each export row is one message (send attempt group). The Pictures column is a count of pictures in that send — picture IDs are not included.
- CSV streams from the server (constant browser memory). XLSX builds incrementally by paging message batches; filters that only exist in the browser (for example multi-status, email address, or trigger source) use the same page-stream path for CSV so results stay filter-accurate.
- Very large result sets are capped; if the match exceeds the export limit, the export fails with an error asking you to narrow filters.
Note: Send logs are retained according to your system's retention policy. Older entries may be archived or removed.
