EDI Destinations

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) destinations allow automated delivery of inspection pictures to external systems.

Supported Protocols

  • FTP — Standard File Transfer Protocol
  • FTPS — FTP over SSL/TLS (explicit and implicit)
  • SFTP — SSH File Transfer Protocol
  • AEMS (API) — Maersk Automated Estimate Management System over HTTP — see AEMS API (Maersk)

Using EDI Destinations

  1. Select pictures — Select specific pictures in a case, or click Send all (N) in the case header to send every picture in the case
  2. Open Send to modal — Click Send in the selection bar or case header
  3. Choose destination — Click a frequent/latest destination chip or pick from the destination dropdown
  4. Fill required fields — Some destinations require estimate ID, estimate date, or message body
  5. Send — Click Send (or the send may auto-trigger when no extra fields are required)

Destination Configuration

EDI destinations are configured by administrators in Tenant Admin → EDI. Each destination includes protocol, credentials, terminal scope, and optional Params.

Administrator setup covers:

  • Protocol — FTP, FTPS, SFTP, MAIL, LOCAL, EOS, API (AEMS), and variants — see EDI protocols
  • Server address — Hostname or IP (host:port for file protocols)
  • Authentication — Username/password, API client credentials, or SMTP chain for MAIL
  • Path / addressing — Remote directory, email To/CC, filename masks
  • Params — Chunk size, resize, dry-run, SMTP_CONFIG_PICTURES, etc. — full reference

End users do not configure file format, naming masks, or delivery schedules from the Send to modal — those are part of the administrator destination setup.

warning

Note: EDI destinations require proper network access and credentials. Contact your administrator if you encounter connection issues.

tip

Tip: Failed sends are logged in the Send Log, where you can retry them after issues are resolved.
